Chakana is a modern enterprise with an old family legacy. At the turn of the 19th century, Giovanni Pelizzatti started producing high quality wines in the DOCG Valtellina, Lombardia, in Northern Italy, and it his descendants who continued on his passion on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. In Europe, Pelizzatti-Perego Winery Ar.Pe.Pe, and in the Andes foothills of Argentina, Chakana Wines. Chakana has developed the concept of estate wines, making them in the same place where grapes are grown. This complete integration between agricultural and enologic practices, result in wines of superior expression. Chakana offers the best expression of its unique terroir: Agrelo, at Lujan de Cuyo County, Mendoza.
