Emile Laurent founded this house in 1812 and on his death his widow, Mathilde Perrier, added her name to the company. Today, Laurent Perrier is one of the biggest Champagne houses, and produce some superb Champagnes. It is company policy to use most of the best wines in the non-vintage blend rather than reserving them for vintage cuvees.
