This Grand Cru is only produced in years when the Pinot Noir grapes reach perfect maturity, it has a lovely garnet colour and a distinct nose packed with aromas of leather, spiced fruit and oak. In the mouth this bold wine has balanced acidity and tannin and explodes with flavours of cherries, candied fruits and vanilla all complimented by leather and oak notes. An impressive and powerful wine which will reward with careful cellaring. The wine is made from grapes grown in the following holdings. Les Bressandes, Les Chaumes, Les Pougets, Les Perrires and Les Grves, all of which are planted with vines with an average age of over 40 years.
