Yealands Estate Winery

Makutu is produced by the Yealand Winery which is New Zealand`s leading environmentally sustainable winery based in the Awatere Valley, Marlborough. The winery was created by Peter Yealands who has incorporated advanced green technology in every aspect of the design and function of the Estate.

It has been accredited carbon neutral and also won the category trophy for small to medium businesses at the EECA Awards. Yealands Estate`s wines launched to great acclaim in August 2008, collecting numerous awards in its first year and continues to do so.
