Intense aromas of fresh pineapple with citric notes.
Casa Silva Microterroir Carmenere 2011
Intense ruby colour with purple notes. On the nose, fresh and elegant, with notes of red and black fruits, with a hint of coffee and spices like black pepper. On the palate, juicy with a pleasant acidity, and abundant tannins, but always soft. It then all finishes with long persistence and impressive elegance. Produced from 100% Carmenere grapes grown on pre-selected micro-terroir plots within the Los Lingues Estate, situated in the Colchagua Valley. All the grapes are harvested manually before undergoing careful temperature controlled fermentation. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for approximately one year. A surprisingly diverse variety which will accompany a broad range of dishes. It goes perfectly with roast lamb with rosemary, juicy filled steak, stuffed chicken, pork ribs or any kind of barbecued meat. It also goes very well with Indian or Spanish foods.
