After careful selection of the grapes, fermentation takes place in open barrels and after a long maceration on the skins the wine is placed into barrels of the best selection of fine grain French oak, where the malolactic fermentation takes place. It stays in barriques “sur lies” for 18 months. After bottling, a further period of maturation glass takes place for at least 6 months before the wine is released.
This is a wine of extraordinary identity, very intense, elegant, refined, rich and complex with rich fruit notes of red and black berries and complex spices; sweet tannins, dense, thick, voluminous, long and balanced with a fresh acidity leading to a long and intense finish The terroir is the master of this wine, that is the perfect marriage of two great grape varieties.
