On the nose intense black and red fruit aromas, with chocolate and oak notes. On the palate there are flavours of red fruits along with fine ripe tannins, balanced with oak notes and fresh acidity, leading to a persistent finish.
Pressing after total destemming of the four grape varieties Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Castelão and Syrah that go into this wine before the wine undergoes fermentation in vats with a pumping over system and temperature controlled to 28-30 Celsius. Maceration with skins contact for 28 days takes place, before the wine is partly aged in 250 litres oak barriques for four to six months.
