The Chioccioli Estate runs its own winery in Gaiole in Chianti with vineyard holdings in two prime locations within the Chianti Classico area: Gaiole and Quercegrossa. The two owners Niccolo and Enrico Chioccioli Altadonna work directly in the vineyards with the whole operations being carried out by hand from pruning, to the harvest to the final wine making.Great attention is paid to all details of the vineyard management with the aim of achieving the best polyphenolic ripening of the grapes. Strict low yields per hectare are maintained with a typically production average of 30 hectoliters of wine per hectar. Attention to detail is the key in the winery starting from the double sorting of grapes, the vinification technique, the use of the finest grained French oak barrels and the highest standards of vinification, all aimed at achieving the highest expression of territorial identity and quality of the wines.
