First planted in 1975 by founders John Evans and John Tate, and named Redbrook, the vineyard stands on the northern bank of the Wilyabrup River in Margaret River. Since then the demand for Evans and Tate wines has continued to grow, winning many awards along the way.In 2007 the vineyard was purchased by the McWilliam family, another well known name in the Austrailian wine business. McWilliams Wines was named Winery of the Year by Matthew Jukes in his 100 Best Australian Wines.
