Inky red with dark purple hues. Ripe raspberries and plum aromas dominate with a hint of anise and white pepper. A rich plum and ripe red berry palate follows with complexing cinnamon and beautifully integrated oak, finishing long and soft.
The grapes for this wine were sourced from selected premium vineyards in the Barossa Valley.
Harvesting takes place at night to make sure that the grapes were as cool as possible. After crushing they were allowed to macerate for 2 days before inoculation and fermentation. Pressed off skins and allowed to go through the second malolactic fermentation, the wine spent 9 months on oak and had minimal handling prior to filtration for bottling.
