Delivery & Returns
Delivery charges are based on the number of bottles in your order. Each case holds up to 12 x 75cl bottles, as shown in the table below; smaller and larger bottles are pro rata. We do not have a minimum order requirement.
Subject to stock availability and successful payment authorisation, we aim to despatch your order the next working day after an order is placed. Orders are dispatched via our standard next-day delivery service for areas within Mainland UK. Highlands and Islands areas are a two-to-three day delivery service.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Our standard next-day delivery service is based on our chosen couriers delivering Mondays to Fridays ONLY, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. OUR COURIERS DO NOT DELIVER OUR PARCELS ON SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, OR WORKING DAYS WHICH FALL AS BANK HOLIDAYS. We are, however, able to request Saturday delivery for any orders placed before 3pm the preceding Friday. PLEASE NOTE: SATURDAY DELIVERY COMMANDS AN EXTRA COST FROM OUR COURIER SERVICE, WHICH IS CALCULATED WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER AND SPECIFICALLY REQUEST SATURDAY DELIVERY.
National orders are delivered via our chosen courier company so we are unable to offer guaranteed delivery times. However, the vast majority of our parcels, once dispatched, arrive the next working day. During busy periods, and especially over the festive season, delivery times are subject to change, due to demands on our chosen couriers.
IF YOUR ORDER IS TIME CRITICAL, PLEASE RING THE OFFICE TO GET MORE UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION ON CURRENT DELIVERY TIMESCALES AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. BUT PLEASE NOTE, WE ARE COURIER DEPENDENT ONCE THE ORDER LEAVES US, SO CANNOT GUARANTEE A DELIVERY TIME OR DATE.
We are able to hold your order if you would like to organise a day when you are going to be in to accept delivery. Please indicate a specified delivery date in the notes box, provided in the delivery area of the order process. Please also add any other specific delivery requirements in the notes box and we will do our best to ensure they are followed; alternatively, call us on 01472 852118 and we will do our best to help you.
Please note: it is not possible to specify a timed delivery without incurring additional delivery charges. If this something you require, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
All our consignments REQUIRE A SIGNATURE on receipt. We will NOT be able to leave your order without someone taking the order in. We cannot leave your order unattended in a porch or garage, etc., unless we receive written confirmation from you that this is acceptable and that you will take full responsibilty if the parcel goes missing, once delivered. However, we are able to leave it with a neighbour, or at an alternative address where they can take the goods in. Please indicate this in the box for notes on the delivery page of the order process, if this is a requirement. If no-one answers the door, the address will be carded in the usual manner and you will need to contact the courier or our office to get the delivery rescheduled.
Orders under £30 in value incur a small order £10 carriage charge to standard non-surcharged UK delivery areas.

We take every care to ensure your order is correct but if any items are missing please accept our apologies and email orders@sandhamswine.co.uk, quoting your order number and the missing item, and we will investigate the matter further. We will rectify the situation as soon as possible and advise you as to the best course of action.
We take every care to pack your order well, but if you receive any damaged or faulty items, please accept our sincere apologies. Please e-mail orders@sandhamswine.co.uk as soon as possible following delivery, quoting your order number, your name and address and details of what items are damaged or faulty. Please ensure that you retain all damaged packaging and content, so that they are available for inspection. Once you have notified us, we will instruct you on how to proceed.
Please allow two working days from receipt of a return for us to process a refund. Once we have issued a refund, you will receive an email confirmation. The email will be sent to the same email address your Order Confirmation email was sent to.
After receiving the return confirmation email, please allow a further five-to-10 working days for the refund to be credited back to your credit card or bank account. This timeframe is dictated by your bank or card issuer and is outside of our control. Your refund will be credited to the same card with which you placed your original purchase. If for any reason this is not possible, i.e. the card had been declined or has expired, we will send a cheque to your billing address within two working days.
Returns Policy on Delivery Costs
If you are returning an item to us for a refund or an exchange then the cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility. We do not refund delivery charges, unless you have received an incorrect or faulty item.
