Morey-Saint-Denis is located in the Côte de Nuits, between Gevrey-Chambertin to the north and Chambolle-Musigny to the south. Almost all of Morey-Saint-Denis’s vines produce red Pinot Noirs. This appellation marks the transition between the rather masculine Gevrey-Chambertin wines and the feminine typicity of Chambolle-Musigny. "Les Sorbets" lies at an altitude of 250 metres. The soil is brown and clayey overlying hard Bathonian limestone and contains Upper Bajocian marls and stony scree. The name "Les Sorbets" refers to the rowan trees (sorbiers) that were commonly found here.
TASTING
On the nose, this Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru "Les Sorbets" is redolent of wild sour cherry with notes of leather and a hint of oak. It acquires more complex aromas with animal and spicy nuances when allowed to age. Well balanced on the palate and endowed with superb structure boasting flavours of red berries and liquorice. The finish is generous and deliciously fruity.

Our delivery charges are based on the number of bottles in your order, and each case can hold 12 x 75cl bottles as shown in the table below smaller and larger bottles are pro rata. We do not have a minimum order requirement.
Subject to stock availability and successful payment authorisation, we aim to despatch your order the next working day after you place your order. Our Standard Delivery is a next day service for most of the mainland UK from date of despatch, and The Highlands and Islands areas are on a 2-3 day service normally. As most orders are delivered via our chosen courier company, we cannot offer guaranteed delivery times, however the vast majority of orders placed arrive on the next working day. During busy periods these delivery times may extend. IF YOUR ORDER IS TIME CRITICAL PLEASE RING THE OFFICE TO GET MORE UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON CURRENT DELIVERY TIME SCALES, AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BUT PLEASE NOTE WE ARE COURIER DEPENDENT ONCE THE ORDER LEAVES US, SO WE CANNOT ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE A DELIVERY DATE.
We are able to hold your order if you would like to organise a day when you are going to be in, to do this just indicate it in the notes box provided in the delivery area of the order process. Please add any other specific delivery requirements in the same box and we will do our best to ensure they are followed, or alternatively call us on 01472 852118 and we will do our best to help you. Our chosen Couriers deliver Monday to Friday between 8.00 am & 6.00 pm.

Please note that all our consignments normally REQUIRE A SIGNATURE on receipt. We will NOT be able to leave your order without someone taking the order in, we cannot leave your order unattended in a porch or garage etc., unless we get written confirmation from you that this is acceptable and that you will take full responsibilty if the parcel goes missing. However we are able to leave it with a neighbour or at an alternative address where they can take the goods in, please indicate this in the box for notes on the delivery page of the order process, if this is a requirement. If no-one answers the door, the address will be carded in the normal manner you should contact the courier or us to get the delivery rescheduled.
Orders under £30 in value will incur a small order £10 carriage charge to standard none surcharged UK delivery areas.
