All the barley used in the production of Filey Bay whisky is grown at Hunmanby, on the Mellor family farm, with the water for the whisky coming from two sources, sunk deep into the chalk. They are in control of every stage of the growing and distilling process, from choosing the variety of barley and how it is grown, right through to the bottling at the distillery. Very few other distilleries in the UK can claim this and it's something they exceptionally proud of.
